Najwan's Nepenthes
« Thread Started on Nov 4, 2007, 12:02pm » Decided to take photos this morning.. but.. but after snapping 2 pics, the batt went flat will post more pics after the batt are fully charged.

Actually, on this time i'm posting this message, my neps are recovering from extreme dehydration due to lack of watering during hari raya holidays. nobody to water them for 2-3 weeks whats worst is that, almost all of my neps were attack by grasshoppers. Leaves are badly damaged. They even chew picthers.

ok, now the first 2 pics..

The amp that was bought from MT December 2006:
After about 6-7 months, it decided to grow basal shoots David, hows ur amp doing?

Sown on merdeka day, and it sprouted abt 2-3 weeks later.

« Reply #7 on Nov 4, 2007, 11:22pm » Hi Naj,

My amp has also given me basels but the pitchers are not so huge and my plant is smaller than yours.

I will be relocating the majority of my Neps to my mum's place in Taiping in the next 1-2 weeks. The sun is just not working well for my neps these days. They are suffering. Those in my Terrarium are doing fine but I can't have many in a 4-feet setup.

Waa, you really take the trouble to space out your nep seeds huh? They are spaced out so well and ballanced. I just dump them in the pot... haa, haaa... that's why when they grow up I hae more work seperating them and sometimes they grow slower if a whole bunch grow together in a clump

« Reply #8 on Nov 5, 2007, 8:20am » Naj: you got your n.veitchii from YG Park ? or are you just using their pot ? heheh, mine is still very small...got the small sized one from Fauzi a few months ago. Did you relocate your CPs to indoors i.e. bathroom during Raya ? i think slow growth would be better than extreme dehydration. I used to put them indoors last time when i went for long holidays.

Athene : my n.benstonei germination was zero......so at least you managed to get one.

Your neps are looking great. I like basals that you have, I wish I'll have basals for my red and tricolor amps, hopefully one day they'll give me some.

Keep posting update man.
