Hi all,
On 4-7 Dec i went to Phu KraDueng at Loei province, northeastern of Thailand. There are one of most popular wild treking. The distance between base of the hill to mountain top is 5.5 km ![]() ![]() ![]() Phu Kradueng national park have carrier service for tourist(60-70 kg/ 1 carrier ![]() ![]() On the mountain top is pine forest alternate with grass field and evergreen forest. Tourist can choose treking on waterfall trail or trail nearly cliff. ![]() In Dec-Jan, the red maple is a symbol of Phu Kradeung national park. It's attracted many many tourist to come here. ![]() ![]() In central of mountain top has many waterfall, origin of pong river. I visited here on winter so it's have a few water. ![]() ![]() ![]() Greenish mossy and sphagnum moss can found in every wet floor near waterfall. ![]() ![]() Rock field has small comunities of orchid and lichens ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I still walking through cliff trail. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lom Sak cliff, another one of Phu Kradeung symbol. ![]() I found 3 Genus of carnivorous; Nepenthes , Utricularia, Drosera. I'm not sure is it N. smilesii? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() male flower and fruit ![]() ![]() Drosera burmanii ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Utricularia sp. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by eboat; 10th December 2009 at 11:30 PM. |

I must agree the scenery is breathtaking. The D. burmanii are so cute all over the ground.

Some of the views are really fantastic at Phu KraDueng.Wish to go there myself someday.11km of walking in a day is not a small matter for a normal person.Hope they have a restaurant on top for lunch

Very interesting place. I didn't know maples grow in TH though. Always thought maples are located in more temperate countries. What temperature range does this place have?
