PetPitcher Monthly Competition is Back !!!

We are happy to announce that the PetPitcher Monthly Competition will resume in November 2010. For the moment, we will start with just the Nepenthes category.



Below are the new rules for the monthly competition.

1. Photo submission period will be 1 (one) month. Comments and voting will take place the following two weeks.
2. Each PetPitcher member may only submit a maximum of two (2) entries for the competition. The submitted photo should be of just the nepenthes pitcher or the entire plant.
3. This competition is open to all members of PetPitcher including sponsors, suppliers, nursery owners, committee members, moderators and advisors.
4. Entries are restricted to cultivated plants and must be kept for at least 3 months before submission for the competition
5. All photographs must be taken during the month of the competition.
6. Size of competition photos should be approximately 400 pixels, either vertically or horizontally. Please note that 400pixels = 12.5cm = 4.92inches.
7. Cropping of photos is allowed. However the photo cannot be manipulated or enhanced using any computer software. There should be no text, icon or design on the images.
8. Photos for the competition should be sent to petpitchercompetition@yahoo.com with the following details:
   Title : PetPitcher Monthly Competition for <<month>>
   PetPitcher ID:
   Photo Url (if photo is not attached) :
   Species :
   Photo Description/Name :
9. Judging by Petpitcher members is by voting. The three (3) most popular entries will be posted in the PetPitcher 'Hall of Fame'. The three winning entries cannot be resubmitted for subsequent competitions for at least another three months.
   We will begin a new thread in the Nepenthes section at the beginning of every month.
