maxima x mira
« Thread Started on Dec 9, 2007, 5:14am » N. mira and her hybrids seem to be a little finicky to me. Anyone else have more difficulty with this species? Here's the latest from my maxima x mira. It's hard to believe how cheaply EP is selling these:

« Reply #1 on Dec 9, 2007, 5:57am » I had a mira I grew from seed that grew very well in my extremely high heat. Unfortunately, an oversight on my part lead to the pot drying out and the plant dying.

« Reply #2 on Dec 10, 2007, 6:13am » N. mira grows well for me, along with it's hybrid with talangensis. N. truncata x mira is growing slower. I suspect it would be happier in a warmer environment.

Sorry I don't grow N. maxima x mira, Steve. Yours is gorgeous!

That hybrid has done very well for me. Both parent plants are relatively easy to grow and this hybrid seems to follow suit. One of my better pitchering hybrids in my outdoor conditions.

I find this hybrid very easy to grow, but unfortunately, its looks are not that impressive.
