My dichotoma has just started flowering for the first time since I got it early this year. It has been growing well and covered the pot with leaves but these are the first flowers I have seen from it.

I am a bit surprised that the flower stalks are so tall. Are they usually like this?

Thanks Marigolds. That is usual for the floweres of this species. They can range from 5-15 cm tall.

Wow, nice flower. You a nice collection of Utricularia, Adam. I have a pot of U. involvens yet to flower. Can't wait to see their flowers.

I agree, the flower stalk is tall, I thought usually the utrics grow flowers up to 10cm only, seems like I have underestimated.

I have been trying to grow this U. dichotoma (2 times from seeds and 1 time from division) but ended up to be other species. And that took me long time to realise that they are of wrong species Wonder what's wrong.
Love the flower so much.
