What I meant was a big piece of soft plastic sheet placed like what you showed earlier
 . The way you put the hard plastic (on top of the yellow container), does it generate heat under sun? I worry it will be too hot and no air circulation in there, algae will be the next problem. I did put a glass sheet on top of one of my VFT pot, but I leave an opening to allow air circulation.
