Hi Rob.

That looks like xKuchingnenis (mirabilis x ampullaria).

BTW,just love the way your plant grows without drying any leaf and the pitchers are still fresh too.

Hi Ali,
Thanks for your input but I think there's a little more to it.... x kuchingensis usually have thicker & wider persitome resembled that of N. ampullaria.

I believe this nep to be a complex hybrid, it might be a x trichocarpa cross with N. mirabilis. What do you think?

i'm inclined to go with dontknowwhy, that there's raff, mirabilis and amp in the cross. which order tho.. i'd say (mirabilis x amp) x raff.

Thanks guys for your input. At least we all agree it's a complex hybrid. I guess I will have to wait to see the upper pitcher to get more certainty for it's ID. This plant caught my eye mainly because of it's red peristome and it's mysterious lineage.

Hi guys,
Latest update on this mystery nep.... according to the seller I got this plant from, this is actually a complex hybrid between N. x Coccinea x mirabilis. Both dontknowwhy and hongui were 95% correct. Thanks again guys...

Hi Oat,
That's what I suspected also but couldn't get solid proof. Do you actually have one or seen one before?? Thanks.
