on pinguicula you have 2 glands

one to catch the insect it is the mucilage ( sticky)
and an other to digest these one .

in fact it is the same system like drosera-drosophyllum-byblis

I grow this one too and its not as difficult to grow as you'd think. Here's a pic when it was going to flower some time back(I lost the pic of the flower):

she is difficult on some year for their dormancy .
in this case she have a water horror ,often resulting in its rot

what is your substrat ? just sphagnum .


'in situ' they are gypsicole
