Re: TC question
I have no experience in tc.
You can check with Quicklab in Batu Lanchang. I used to buy reagent grade chemical salts there. Mixing MS from component salts is tricky. Probably they have MS. I'll PM you their contact.

Re: TC question
I'll be honest with you guys, I've heard that TC is quite hard to do. Even setting up TC materials can be troublesome and kinda expensive. A few members here do it, but most don't because it requires a depth of knowledge to actually do TC. But it's no harm done if you guys are willing to try. Good luck!

Re: TC question
From what i know, if you really willing to start TC, you will have to bear some problems
1)scolded by your mom or your wife(you need to use pressure cooker-to kill germ, etc) 2)pay lots of electrical bills( you will need artificial light instead of natural life as they are keep in vessel) 3)space(you will have to set up a completely no germ/microorganism condition for tc preparation/separation) 4)distilled water(just as the ingredient) If you are a student, it is not advisable as it cost a lot and require long patience

Re: TC question
How to do TC ...there are tons of info in the web. print out those you find useful and read them like the holy bookor jot down the important info.
The mixture - for a beginner to try out, there is no need to use expensive ingredients. Home made medium will do, the same preparation as orchid growers do.what is required, read the following link. http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...opagation.html To sterilise jars(with or without ingredients) and water ordinary pressure cooker is required. jam jars, beer mugs are excellent. ordinary plastic containers can be used but need to be sterilised before pouring in the cooked ingredients. This has to be done in a sterile chamber ( a laminar flow or glove hood) different jars that i use germination in-vitro. nepenthes are difficult and near impossible to TC from tips, stems, roots or leaves. start with seeds first. ...and i use artificial light placing the jars on window sills, lights are filtered. MS and other mixtures, equipments and accessories can be bought from most scientific co. I use fish aquarium as sterile hood. https://forum.petpitcher.net/showthread.php?t=4471 Quote:

Re: TC question
Wow Robert, that's very nice and complex! How long did it take for the seeds to germinate?
