Better use sphagnum moss or peat moss. I never try Java moss. Don't know whether it is suitable for cp.
If you can provide full sun. D. burmannii, D. spatulata, D. intermedia is easy for beginer. If your place is shade, you can try D. adelae. * I am not a prof.
