Harris, what Ken mean is nobody will soak the whole thing to see how much it will be, what people do normally is just take roughly how much they want and soak in the water. Unless there is someone who need a lot or wanna do repotting for his/her whole collection at once.
My opinion is, don't use the cheap type, the New Zealand one is worth the price. Get the large packing, it's much worthwhile.

It's lesser. And not that good quality, also has lots of dirt and twigs. Decomposes fast, within three months @.@ the new zealand LFS is tightly compressed so there is more than what the size of the bag looks like. And get the bigger bag, more worth it

thanks Edward!
i hope the RM27 once will be on stock soon.i hardly see that one on sale.

another Q,i read the packet and it says "6litres".does that mean that the whole thing can fill in a 6litre water bottle full?or 6litres by other mean?

Thanks
Harris

the litres thing is the volume of the sphagnum, not how much water...

After soaking in water the size is roughly near to double after soaking in water

it's a good one to pot those species that needs soggy condition, but set back is that if medium stay wet for long period of time in your place, it'll not be a good choice for species that need more airy medium like campanulata as the thing is more like a sponge compared to those ordinary cheaper one
