Default Miranda cuttings

Hi all,

New here. I have a Miranda that's been doing great but needed some pruning. It has a basal rosette so I figured it was time to hack up the vine. I keep it in a 75 gallon fish tank with some other plants. Nothing fancy. Anyway, I used sphagnum and perlite for the rooting medium. Cut the leaves down and bagged them up. I have them held down into the medium with some heavy duty plastic coated paper clips. What do you do about keeping the media moist with this method? I'm afraid that even though they're held down, when I pull off the bags the leaves will get jostled and I might disrupt root growth. Should I bother with the bags? Since I didn't use rooting hormone, I feel the bags would give them an extra edge. I know it could take months for the cuttings to take. Thanks all!
