Question amorphorphallus?? tacca??

guys......found this today.....what is this??

I came across this sp. too in one of the isolated beaches in Penang. Strangely it grows on sandy beaches with plenttiful of shaded trees. If I'm not mistaken, it produces lots of clustering yellow orangy flowers but not as big as in your photo. Non stop flowering plant.
Personally I think it's more towards amorphallus or it could be totally of different genus. Nice to see it does occur in Tioman Island.

that is why i am confused! amor leaves and tacca flower!! it is indeed a rare find for me...i almost jumped from the golf buggy when i saw the flower today...should it be a rare find, i will carry my tools there and if it is a common plant, i will leave as it is..... hope that someone can shed some info on this plant...

oohh...another sifu has spoken...please go ahead and use the photos no copyright...hahahhaa....at least i get to know the name of this plant..hehehe...it also has tuberous roots....just came back from the site again and found a young plant...stems broke and i believed that it has being stepped upon....

This weird plant is Tacca!! Tacca leontopetaloides. It is a species restricted to beach-sands around the Pacific rim.

yeah, seed podsss....but should i wait until it gets 'drier'? cos 1 of the flower stalks had broke and the green seed pods are with me now.....

did some autopsy job and......
