Default N. albomarginata Cultivation Guide

Name: Nepenthes albomarginata

Distribution & Habitat
Elevation : Lowland to Intermediate (~1000m ASL)

Country of Origin : Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak & Peninsular Malaysia) & Indonesia (Sumatra & Kalimantan).

Natural Habitat : Grow terrestrially in open, sandy, rocky and generally found in dry habitat.

Cultivation Guide
Cultivation ease: Easy to Moderate

Lighting: 50% to full sunlight

Potting Media: Cocochips, LFS, Burnt clay, Sand & Perlite.

Temperature: Low land tropical to intermediate condition

Humidity: 60% to 90%

Watering: Once or twice a day (depending on media)

Propagation: Stem Cutting & Seeds.

Remarks:
N. albomarginata prefer a very well drain media, in nature it's mostly found growing in habitat that is not permanently wet. It can tolerate shaded condition but grow best in exposed area with partial to full sun. More info to be updated soon...

haha... just copy and paste

Sure but use more perlite about 40% to 50%. Watering depending on how fast the media will dry out or when the weight of the pot become very light...

I use cocopeat and they grow huge leaves.

I've found albos difficult to keep in my conditions which is LL... I don't know why..It was doing well for a couple of months than all of a sudden like HL neps it slowed down and pitchers got small and smaller and well it died..

Guys, don't give up. Once you figure out the what make it tick, it's not that hard. The more difficult N. albomarginata for me is MT's kuching spotted , still trying to figure this one out.

I find albomarginata easy to grow. I use hanging clay pots with pure sphag as media. I got 2 plants about a year ago and they have doubled in size since then. Pitcher colouration will improve when given a lot of sun. I think it does best when the leaves have a reddish tinge.
