Update!!!!!

I have 2 paradoxa plantlet from the leaf that lay flat in spagnum moss. hurray!!!

For water method, Drosera that produce plantlet is,
D. intermedia 'cuba' --> all leaf produce plantlet, each leaf have 1 ~ 3 plantlet
D. binata --> 1 out of 2 leaf produce plantlet, each leaf have 4 plantlet
The most happy success story is --> D. paradoxa!!! I have 2 leaf in water and 1 produce plantlet!!!

Just a reminder, you can also use the flower stalks to generate new plants! This is especially useful on those hybrids that are sterile, but flower profusely, such as D. hybrida (= D. filiformis x D. intermedia), D. beliziana (= D. intermedia x D. rotundifolia) and D. obovata (= D. anglica x D. rotundifolia), and many will still produce new plants even after the seed has been harvested. - Rich

Casey, petiolaris complex plants propagate better if you tear the whole plant into clumps i.e. a bunch of several leaves attached together as opposed to individual leaves.

What worked very well for me..

D. petiolaris
D. paradoxa
D. broomensis
D. derbyensis

Really useful info you guys, thanks a lot! Most of my seedlings are starting to get big enough to see with the naked eye now so perhaps in a month or two I'll be able to try this out on a larger scale! By the way, I started planting various Drosea species in plug trays (1" round cells of 105 cells per tray) filled with various mixes as tests. I tried to go heavy on the sand as everyone says this helps with algae growth. Well, it must have helped the algae a lot as I have so much it's coating the media surface of about half the cells! The plug trays have been sitting in cookie sheet type trays which I flood from the bottom occasionally. I've been keeping them very wet as that's what I thought they liked, but this algae growth is a real problem. Any experiences you can share would be appreciated!
