What I meant was a big piece of soft plastic sheet placed like what you showed earlier.
The way you put the hard plastic (on top of the yellow container), does it generate heat under sun? I worry it will be too hot and no air circulation in there, algae will be the next problem. I did put a glass sheet on top of one of my VFT pot, but I leave an opening to allow air circulation.

If you see it properly. I didnt cover the contrainer tightly. I use a big size of cork to support the hard plastic. Gap between tray and hard plastic is around 3cm.

TS, since you are using big size of soft plastic sheet. It is easily blow up by wind. May I know how you overcome that problem.

Casey, my whole container is full of pots, I just insert the plastic sheet in between inner side of the container and the pots, the pots will pressed tightly against the plastic sheet and the container. I don't face any problems with strong wind.
