Name: Nepenthes raffflesiana
Distribution & Habitat Elevation : Lowland to Intermediate Country of Origin : Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak & Peninsular Malaysia), Indonesia (Sumatra & Kalimantan) & Singapore Natural Habitat : Grow terrestrially in open, sandy and wet areas. In Peninsular Malaysia, some were found growing in sand clay laterite soil. Remarks: One of the "majestic" L/L nepenthes that is vigorous and produce enormous pitchers (giant form). N. rafflesiana is very variable especially those originated from seed. There are also many interesting form/variant for the shape and colour of the pitcher for this species. Though I am moving away from 100% LFS, my rafflesianas do beautifully in it. I would add that to the media.
