Default Re: My collection

thanks guys, my collection is nothing compared to others.
Im also not sure if my veitchii pink is indeed a veitchii pink, or a nepenthes x lebih.
A few more pictures,
some bad news... not sure what is this, but it happened on my truncata x ephippiata...
if anyone knows what is the cause and what i can do fix this, please tell me, thanks .

Some droseras?

Miranda pitcher, quite a fresh one!

In the first post, the pitcher of the veitchii pink was still not fully opened, this is when its peristome flared up

Nepenthes mirabilis x (thorelli x trusmadiensis) pitcher is going to open soon!

This is my vivarium where i keep my nepenthes rajah, heres a vid since i dont have full pics

Wow, I envy your vivarium and the fact that you can grow a rajah! I think that's a sunburn on your truncata x ephippiata.

Thanks, my vivarium doesnt look like that at all right now haha! The moss has all grown a lot more. I will take an update video when im free . I think so too, i will have to give them some shade cloth. I thought in January the afternoon sun doesnt hit my nepenthes, but i was wrong haha. Just hope the pitcher that is forming doesnt get burnt off!

Your vivarium is cooled by an air conditioning system? If you can keep it cool, exposing it to direct afternoon sunlight won't harm your neps they'll colour up!

Yes, only my nepenthes rajah is living in the vivarium though haha!
I have the air conditioner temperature set at 23 degrees, than i have 4 fans. 2 of the fans are on 24/7 to provide air circulation during the day and at around 10pm, 2 powerful fans will be turned on by a timer to cool the tank down even further. This will cause humidity levels to lower, so im installing a humidifier in tonight(its on the way here right now) and from that, i will see how it goes!

For my outdoor neps, im afraid i cant do much to help them escape from the sun except place a shade cloth.

Hey guys! Just finished installing my new humidifier a few minutes ago! Enjoy these few pics, and take a look at the video .
Whole look at the humidifier! Brand : Advante. Holds 4.5litres of water i think...

So i removed the green cap at the top, and fastened my piping. May not look pretty, but it gets the job done!

Notch for controlling the mist. I set it to the higher side, but not maximum.

And finally, here is what the tank looks like when i turn the notch to maximum!

Btw, i have a question. I'll be visiting kota kinabalu tomorrow as im heading there to take pictures of the infamous nepenthes rajah. Do you think my N rajah can tolerate a little heat in the night for a few days?
Anyway, the video is up!

Sorry the video is rotated... i took the video with my camera rotated and now i cant edit it...Also, youtube blocked my music! lol! it was just music i was listening to while filming...Anyway, try to enjoy .
