Exclamation Expert help needed to ID this plant.

from the Nursery, they had no idea what is the latin name for this plant. sold as Bird Flower/ Bunga Burung/ Cucak Rowo. please shed some info. anyway, i still can't imagine how they call them 'bird'

That is Pedilanthus bracteatus. And seems like very famous in nursery nowsaday. There is the others bird plant called Pedilanthus tithymaloides as well, and I have that. Pedilanthus tithymaloides have more bird .

Oh that's right. Saw this pedilanthus 8 months ago in Melaka. Then now it appears that many nurseries have these already including those wholesales one in Muar. The price was high initially but now it has dropped a lot.

i bought a 2.5 foot flowering pedilanthus bracteatus for rm25. not too expensive. asking price is about 75 at most garden centres
