Tomatos are not Vegetables, they are fruits. If you do not like them Raw, you should give slighty grilled Tomatos a try, grilling not only (apparently) releases more of the beneficial chemicals, I think it gives them also better taste, I love grilled tomatos and a bit of salt. Of course since I met my wife, she introduced me to fresh tomato based pasta which made me completely change my mind about tomato based pasta. Fresh Tomato based pasta tastes great, while if you used canned ones, they tend to be more sour.
Going back to Carnivory. I agree with the post in the article, that the mechanism is probably more for self defense than for carnivory or fertilization benefits. Thanks for sharing! TTFN Arvin
